Hi, we’re Chris and Andriana
We’re qualified teachers with over 25 years of combined experience.
Chris is a UK primary teacher and school leader, with 15 years of experience teaching and leading in English schools.
Andriana is a Greek teacher and linguist, with over 10 years of experience teaching both English and Greek.
Together, we bring both sides of the learning experience:
native-level English teaching
a deep understanding of Greek learners
Our approach is simple
We focus on speaking from the start.
We don’t overload learners with explanations.
We don’t focus on learning more and more content.
Instead, we help learners:
use the English they already know
build confidence through real conversation
improve through consistent, guided practice
Why we started this
Over the years, we kept seeing the same pattern.
Learners studied English for years.
They learned vocabulary.
They understood grammar.
But when it came to speaking…
they lacked confidence.
Not because they didn’t know enough —
but because they hadn’t had the chance to use what they knew.
That’s what led us to create Unlock English.
